About
Summit Mortgage Corporation
|
The Summit Mortgage
Corporation Bank Partner Program started with a simple idea, to build a
mortgage company from our bank partner's point of
view while providing our partners the opportunity to
offer outstanding mortgage services to their
customers. At the same time, our goal was to help
our partners add value to their institutions by creating an
additional profit center. We realize that success comes from
taking the time to understand our client's needs and
working hard to make sure those needs
are satisfied. You have our promise that we will
strive to exceed your expectations.
Summit, a national leader in the use of bank partnering,
joint mortgage partners, branching and
technology, is owned by Robert and Diana Carter
mortgage industry professionals since 1982. SMC was
incorporated in 1992 and is headquartered in
Minneapolis, Minnesota. We employ 200+ professionals at
30+ offices throughout the United States. Summit balances the
demands of a growing, sophisticated business with a
comfortable family environment.
We are an experienced team of managers, loan
originators, processors, underwriters, closers,
marketing professionals, computer technologists and
administrative specialists. We are aggressive,
innovative, and production oriented, while
maintaining a strong code of business ethics. We
seek out others who share these beliefs and expect
the same qualities in all their business partners.
Our company philosophy of high-level service is
reflected in everything we do. We think you'll like
what you find here and hope you are interested in
doing business with us. |

Robert Carter, CEO
Bob joined the mortgage industry in
the late 1980s, working as a loan
officer and calling on Realtors and
Builders for referrals. In 1992, he
and his wife Diana opened Summit
Mortgage. They wanted to run a
mortgage company from the loan
officer’s point of view. The idea
worked, and as Summit has grown, Bob
and Diana haven’t lost that
perspective. Besides minding the
store, Bob serves actively on the
board of the State Mortgage Banker
Association. You may also see him on
the slopes, the golf course, or at
the throttle of his Harley-Davidson. |
